Dinomania in Downey's Room

This spring our class explored the world of ancient reptiles . . . in other words, we went wild about dinosaurs! It is extremely difficult to comprehend just how large these creatures were, so we did some activities to illustrate their enormity.  Just how big is REALLY BIG?

We drew a chalk drawing on the Ruder playground of the longest dinosaur ever discovered.  Scientists named him Seismosaurus and he was 150 feet long.
Mikaela adds the finishing touches to our Seismosaurus while Sarah and Briann supervise.
We also learned about the Montana state dinosaur, Maiasaura.  Amanda adds her baby maiasaur to the nest.
