A Few Boxing Photos
From Montana

How *Lucky* can a boxing fan get? One day, while walking down the main street of Columbia Falls, I met Livingstone Bramble. He had recently won the rematch with Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini, and held the WBA World Lightweight title. He was very gracious with his time and we had a very interesting conversation that lasted about a half hour.

Livingstone Bramble is seen here preparing for a sparring session. He had set up a training camp at the Mountain Mall in Whitefish, MT to prepare for a title defense against Terrance Alli. That match would be cancelled due to an injury Bramble incurred during the sparring sessions. His next opponent would eventually be Tyrone "Butterfly" Crawley who he would stop in the 13th round.

Jesse Reid and Todd Foster examine Foster's hand following Foster's devestating 1st round KO of Mike Grable. The x-rays confirmed that the hand had been broken.

A close up look at Todd Foster, Montana's Olympian boxer.

This is Julio Cesar Borboa and his camp following his successful defense against Carlos Mercado. They were a first-class outfit!

Visitors From Cyberspace

It was a real pleasure to spend time with Nic LaRosa and his lovely bride, Cathy during their honeymoon tour of the United States. We spent several days together and had a great time. It seemed as if we had known each other for decades, rather than the 8 actual months that we had chatted on ESPN boxing chat.

We are standing on the shore of ice-covered Lake McDonald, aka "Talking Lake." I don't think any of us will forget the terrible, sickening feeling that struck when, while walking out on the lake, the ice groaned and snapped with a sound that seemed to come directly from the bowels of the earth. This photo was taken shortly after that experience, when we were able to laugh it off a bit.
