Links

  • Astronomy WWW Resources. A general collection of electronic journals and links.
  • Astronomy Web Sites. Amateur Astronomy Online. Useful links, but the page uses white text on a star filled black background and thus is the very devil to read.
  • International Dark Sky Association. The good people who work to keep the night sky dark. An effective organization and a very good site that I recommend highly.
  • Jet Propulsion Laboratory. NASA's Cal Tech based science and engineering space lab. A major resource including downloadable images from space.
  • Longest Visibility of Ancient Comets. From the European Space Organization. Hale-Bopp compares favorably.
  • The Nine Planets. A wonderful site on the solar system, hosted by the University of Arizona. This link is to the mirror site at the University of Washington.
  • Sky & Telescope. One of the best sites around, with numerous articles, images, links, and a news wire that's updated daily. The now discontinued CCD Imaging magazine page has several excellent articles on processing digital images.
    • Comet Links. You might have more fun going directly to the home page.
