Welcome to my web page! It's nothing fancy -- just a place to organize all the things I like to do.
When I'm not busy being a wife and mom, I'm probably busy knitting.
My two favorite kinds of knitting are Aran knitting
and lace knitting. I also spin
my
own yarn (although my wheels are more modern than the one pictured).
I belong to the Alpine Weavers and Spinners Guild
in Kalispell, Montana and am the Newsletter Editor for the Montana Association
of Weavers and Spinners (MAWS).
When I'm not spinning or knitting or editing (or tending to the hubby and kids), I'm out in my garden (unless it's the middle of winter). One of my favorite plants is lavender -- come and take a look!
We live in northwest Montana, near Glacier National Park. Montana is a wonderful place to live, although the economy certainly lags behind the rest of the country. My husband is fond of saying that if you want to live here, you have to be able to create your own career. You can't eat the scenery, after all. Here are some sites you might want to visit if you're planning a vacation in Montana.

Yes, we get snow! During the winter of 1996-97 we had a recorded snowfall of over 216 inches! That's my 3/4 ton Dodge Ram Quad Cab with the Cummins Turbo Diesel Engine (I love my truck) in front of the house, with our Golden Retriever, Rufus. This was sometime in January, 2000 (a mild winter, actually). Visit the Turbo Diesel Register website where you can schmooze with other TDR devotees like my husband (who owns a 1997 one-ton Club Cab). I love my truck, but he really LOVES his truck.
It does get cold and snow a lot in the winter. Does looking at the all that snow make you cold? Maybe you should try a warmer destination! Check with the experts in the business of planning Caribbean vacations at IslandTrips.com.
Enjoy looking around, and if you have any questions or comments, e-mail me.
