![]() Jessica Williams is the listmom for childdevdelays. After seeing many groups that were either too narrow in focus or too large to keep up with, she decided to start this group. She is the mother of two young boys, Chris (9/93) and Justin (8/96) and wife to Brian. She is a professional freelance writer working from her home in northwest Montana. Justin has several developmental delays. His speech, fine and gross motor skills as well as cognitive skills are all delayed. He also has mild hypotonia ("low tone") and a moderate case of sensory integration dysfunction (SID). Justin sees a private occupational therapist (OT) and a private speech therapist (ST or SLP) weekly. He also attends the public school system's special education preschool four days a week. Justin's biggest strengths are his independence, his extremely loving nature, and his drive to explore and learn. Chris is advanced for his age and will attend a first/second grade combo class in the public school system. He is a sensitive little boy who is always looking out for his little brother. Chris is in the early reading program and loves soccer, music and art. Jessica moderates the childdevdelays list in her spare time. Still, she strives to participate in the group discussions and will enforce rules. Any questions, comments or complaints can be sent to windyone@digisys.net. |
