My '1966 ' Early Ford Bronco

The Wreck of 98

My 67 before the rollover

On a trip to Helena (the capital of our state) I hit a patch of ice and rolled my 1967 Ford Bronco.  One lesson I learned was to use 4-wheel drive to get yourself out of trouble not put yourself into it. The only way to avoid trouble on icy roads is to SLOW DOWN.

After the rollover (which is what I call my 67 now), I purchased a 1966 Bronco. I got it mostly for parts for the "rollover" but now I'm using it as my daily driver and buildup.  It started burning more oil than gas so I swapped out the Rollover's 289 into it.

I would say that a roll bar and good seat belts are the 2 most important upgrades an Early Ford Bronco owner should do.

Here is the list of what the 66 has so far.  I hope to continue this list as time goes on:

Rebuilt 1967 289 engine

Edlebrock 600 CMF 4-barrel carburetor

Duraspark electronic ignition

Dual Battery setup

Hurst 3 Speed shifter

Dual Shocks in front

Lock-Rite automatic locker from Powertrax in front

Soft Top, Bikini Top and Hard Top

Smittybuilt Roll Bar

Shoulder Harness Seat Belts from an old Peugeot

 91 Ford Escort Seats

 AM/FM Cassette

 Electric Wiper conversion

Custom Baseball Shift Knob
