Dear Randy;
Thank you for visiting my wife and I's website, and then sending me your own website address.  I very much admire and respect the great deal of time and energy you put into your site, and the clear, direct way you expressed your thoughts and views.  It certainly conveyed to me that you have a very strong passion on the topic of Christianity, God, Jesus, the Bible, etc... and that you also seem to be a very intelligent, caring individual who has a strong hunger for seeking the truth.

I just got through reading every article on your site (or at least most, and after I finishing writing this I will go back and read the rest, then go back over all of the articles again more closely), for I too consider myself to be an intelligent (though I know of many who do not see me as such! LOL) man who has always had, and continues to have a strong hunger for truth.

Since you obviously got my name and e mail address from my web site, I am assuming you've read through at least some of my articles there, or at least enough to know full well where I am coming from, just as your site tells me clearly where you stand.

Whereas we appear to have a great deal in common, both of us being intelligent, interested in Science, reason, logic, pursuing the truth, and the issue of Christianity, and we are both upfront about where we stand, I would therefore like to make a proposition with you.  I'm sure you have undoubtedly discussed these issues with others far more knowledgeable than myself and certainly have plenty of other people closer to you to discuss these matters with, if you so chose.  However, I would very much like to engage in an open dialogue with you on the many questions you brought up in your web page.  This could be a simple "question and answer" type format for an unspecified duration of time (nice thing about e mail - whenever either one of us is no longer interested in continuing the correspondence, we can simply discontinue it).  I think it would help me personally if we could keep our emails to 1 question/comment at a time, probably beginning with what we see as our most crucial question, and then stick with that for awhile until we both feel ready to move to another question/comment.  That way we can avoid the "cannonballing" of mega questions and getting side tracked.  Perhaps you have some additional ideas how we could correspond so we both feel positive about the process.

I feel very excited about possibly doing this!  I think it would be kinda fun.  What do ya' say?  Want to give it a try?  I really hope you do.  By the way, that's quite a challenge you gave on your site.  How 'bout let's both try this "challenge" first, then we can look at the challenge on your web page later on?  We can always quit if we don't enjoy it any longer.

Hope you'll write back soon and tell me what you think.

Derek Dalton

P.S. I know of somebody who's prayer were answered... My roommate in college many years ago prayed for me... although it took a long time for the prayer to get answered it finally did... 8 years ago I accepted the Lord into my life. Do I get the $100,000 now?? LOL.  I suppose that's not quite the kind of answered prayer you are looking for, is it?  But if you knew what I was like before, you'd know it was a DEFINITE MIRACLE!!     :-)LOL
