1 Corinthians 1:18-26
"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are
perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written:
"I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate".
Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of the age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.
Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks
look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength."

Through this web site, and the blessing of our Lord, my wife and I have had the opportunity to be contacted by wonderful people from all over the world and from all walks of life. Recently, a gentleman contacted me identifying himself as a true Atheist and had given me the address of his own website entitled
"My Case Against Christianity". I then wrote him back and offered to correspond with him to discuss any questions or "problems" he had that caused him to deny Jesus Christ, as well as the entire existence of God Himself. Listed below are the letters between He and I. I decided to place them on my site here for all to read and come to their own conclusion and encouraged him to do the same. Although I have always known that only the Holy Spirit can reveal Truth to an individual, my interaction with this Atheist, Greg H., helped me even more to recognize this fact and the reality of the need for lifting the people we care about in prayer as we attempt to share the Gospel
with them - that their hearts will be softened and that they may be set free from the strong delusion that most of the world is under.
We pray that the Lord uses these letters to bring glory to Himself and that perhaps even one person may find it
helpful in inviting Jesus into their own hearts for real. (Greg, if you've come across this, we're
prayin' for ya' buddy!)
UPDATE 2/1/99
Because Greg and I have written far more letters than I ever anticipated, the list of letters was getting too lengthy and cumbersome. I still do want ALL the letters Greg and I have exchanged with one another available for any to read, so I have decided to categorize the letters by month. We began our correspondence in November, so if you would like to read about how all this began, that is the place to start. If any of you readers have any better ideas for more efficiently organizing this section, please let me know, either by e mail or in the discussion forum down below. Thanks.
UPDATE 8/10/99
Because I have had numerous people write and ask me "if the debate is over", I felt I best update this page again. I am sad to say that yes, it does appear that Greg is no longer interested in corresponding with me. However, I am still praying for him and pray that some small seed has been sown in his heart. I want to thank the many folks who have also been praying for both Greg and myself. I plan to leave these letters, as I have been receiving reports from a great many visitors saying that they have found the information contained in them most helpful. Praise be to our God and savior Jesus Christ!
