String Crossing Trio variety includes "light" classical, folk, pop and hymns with a contemporary twist featuring tight harmonies, and a warm string sound. Laurie Smith and Valle Ostrem on violins and Jenny Rau, cello. They bring a wealth of musical experience, coming together in 2004. Jenny has a masters in church music, performed with the Glacier Orchestra and Missoula Symphony. Currently musical director of Calvary Lutheran Church and private music teacher. Laurie performed in violin competitions and was member of Bozeman Symphony where she was able to perform with Metropolitan Opera stars in "La Boheme. Valli a pianist and recently a violinist accompanied the Flathead Bicentennial Chorus, North Central Honor's Choir, played with Kalispell's Big Band College Musicals. Currently a private teacher with students on the Hi-Line. String Crossing loves to play for special events and share the joy of music. Eagle's Nest
 
Ellery Luikens eleven years old and her fingers have been flying over the piano keys since she was three. Dad, Jim Luikens will accompany her. Ellen plays piano in the Praise band at church leading the congregation in worship every Sunday. She started violin two years ago and loves playing fiddle tunes from the civil war and early 19th century. She performed in plays with the Bigfork Playhouse Children's Theater. Damaris Gemmer age 11, has been playing piano since she was 4 1/2. At 7 she began composing and arranging her own music and now has completed at least 36 songs. Each song she will perform is from her own imagination and heart. Lilting melodies, playful tunes, and uniquely refreshing sounds. Dad, Marty Gemmer accompanies her on his guitar. She played piano last two years at Sassafrass during FNF and is looking forward to her own event this year with her father. Museum of Central School 7pm
 
Just Us Girls Come enjoy favorite American jazz standards delivered in Just Us Girls’ own specia style. Their repertoire of close-harmony vocals and inspired piano accompaniment has become a hit with audiences who love to hear great songs of decades past that are too good to forget. Montana Highlanders Pipe Band Grab your kilt and come listen to the bagpipes and drums Celebrate New Year's Eve we will be presenting a special program honoring Scotish, American and Australian music. And help bring in the New Year with the traditional Scottish favorite by Robert Burns "Auld Lang Syne” Linderman Gym 7PM
 
LeftOver Biscuits This five-piece band utilizes the traditional sincle mic performance, playing both traditional bluegrass and “gassed-up” popular tunes. This foot-stomping group, with three lead singers and tight harmonies, keeps audiences entertained and amused. Back to FNF by popular demand, Chad Fadely playing mandolin and bouzouki with a discreet rhythm and distinctive picking style, Doyle Wells playing bass and singing harmony and a few lead vocals, keeps the “Biscuits” in time. Jim Sticka guitarist, shares lead singing and harmony duties when he is not fishing. Paul Sebesta, fiddle, plays anything from Bach to bluegrass. When the “wild man” cuts loose on his Montana made fiddle you can’t help but grin. Rudy Urban, founding member of “Biscuits” is banjo picker. The “story teller” sings lead on many traditional bluegrass songs and a few “Old Hippie” tunes. Linderman Gym 8pm and 9pm

Montana Midnight Classical Guitar Quartet has been together 3 years. Paul Gonsorchik, Mike Streeter, Noel Drury, and David Murdock. They are locally in demand, for clubs, weddings,retaurants, parties and concerts. Their repertoire includes classical jazz, contemporary pieces arranged for 4 guitars. They recorded their first CD in 2005 (available to purchase). Epworth United Methodist Church 7pm and 8pm
 
Steve Eckels will present a program of classical guitar masterpieces and American traditional music. In the tradition of Andres Segovia, works performed will include spanish romantic music by Issac Albeniz Enrique Granados, Fernando Sor and Francisco Tarrega. There will be several selections by Bach, and will feature the Bach Cello suite #3 in A. American traditional music will include the music of Stephen Foster, blues, gospel, western and appalachian selections. The New Year's Eve concert traditionally ends with audience sing along. Steve holds a Bach. degree in guitar from Berklee College of Music and a Masters degree from New England Conservatory. He is a published author of over a dozen guitar books and has recorded several CDs. He is guitar instructor at Flathead High School Epworth United Methodist Church 9pm and 10pm
 
Wilbur Rehmann Jazz Quartet leader Wilbur Rehmann who plays alto, tenor, soprano and baritone saxophones. His clean sound on alto is reminiscent of Paul Desmond but his big, full sound on tenor is as gutsy as Ben Webster or Coleman Hawkins. He is an original and creates music influenced by the high mountains and open plains of Montana. He has performed with Dizzy Gillespie, Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown, Arnett Cobb , MJ Williams. Wilbur teaches history workshop at the Holter Museum and has a jazz program on Carroll College radio. Joining Wilbur will be Mark Walker, on piano and keyboard, Jason Slead on bass and Jeremy Slead on drums. Quartet was with us at the original First Night performing at the gazebo. Bill Rossiter plays traditional finger-style guitar, autoharp and "clawhammer" banjo. Bill has been a farm laborer, brakeman, Capuchin friar, factory worker, newspaper columnist, carpenter, public relations flack, disk jockey, ghost writer and bartender (and so is undoubtedly qualified as a singer-songwriter). He taught folklore and illiterature (folklore) 25 yrs at FVCC and at U of Mt., retiring in 99. He currently rambles around the Northwest, singing songs of the railroad, heroes and outlaws, the Irish immigrants, the frontier, the Civil War, cowboys and sodbusters, mines and miners, the Great Depression and other eras of American History. Cakes and Ale Connie Rudie (with the little biddy fiddle and great big smile), Sharon Rossiter With (the great big gutbucket bass and the medium smile) and Bill Rossiter (with guitar and banjo and occasionally detectable smile).They play old-time, ragtime, western swing, hoedown, down-home and any old thing, stringband, jugband, hillybilly hits, hokey old tunes that gave Mozart fits. They are not unwilling to refrain from saying that they can't help but refuse to deny the unlikelihood that the mystery guest that did not join them last year might or might not perhaps show this year too. Tra Le Gael performing before enthusiastic audiences throughout the Northwest. The group plays lively jigs and reels, polkas, and mazurkas, and then combines their vocal harmonies on Irish songs, and even some sea shanties. Members are Katy and Terry Meyers, Karin Hilding, Gary Morris and Barbara Calm, They play a variety of instruments, including Celtic harp, penny whistle, mandolin, recorder, guitar, banjo and hammered dulcimer. Grin and Bear It String Clan has been providing music and merriment to the Flathead Valley for nearly twenty five years. Their repertoire of music and merriment includes vintage swing, Irish and old time tunes, and some North West Montana's funniest original songs. They blend their voices and their great variety of stringed instruments skillfully. All who have heard them are entertained by this Clan's community spirit. Baxter Own Graham is enjoying seventh grade and has recently published a children's book titled, "Old King Stinky Toes" illustrated by James Martin. He is incessantly creative. The book was written in 2000 when he was 7 years old. Unrevealed until 2004 when his former fourth grade teacher and illustrator, James Martin agreed to bring Old King Stinky Toes to life. Baxter writes and likes to draw cartoons; he enjoys seeing other kids smile when he reads his book, always telling them "You can do it too!" He has three more completed works just waiting to be discovered. His motto " Just a Kid Having Fun!" Main Street Art and Craft Supplies 6pm and 6:30pm
 
Good Times Chorus mixed chorus who love to sing and share their joy of music. Formed in 2003, directed by MaryRuth Fallon and accompanied by Nina Robart. Blue Smoke Joe Zambrano, a local talent, has been performing his songs of the northwest cowboy poetry for last 12 years. First as soloist known at “SingingJoe”,then with LeftOver Bisquits bluegrass band and now with the acoustic trio. Two talented musicians complete his trio, Jim McBride,bass player and Barney Stucker, guitarist and vocalist.” They always try to give my listeners a little something to take with them. Maw Brothers Champion Fiddlers, Wyatt and Jesse Maw have fiddled their way to the top spot at fiddle contests across the nation. Wyatt 18, has been 2nd at the national level twice and captured 1st prize at the state contest and many others all the way to Texas. Jesse, 13 was 2004 National Junior-Junior Champion and is the current 2005 National Junior Champion. He is the youngest to win back-to-back championships in these two divisions. They can be seen and heard in the Flathead Valley playing at various community events, charities functions and senior centers. They also play mandolin, tenor banjo and guitar. They will be joined on the stage by their dad, Steve Maw on guitar.
 
Generations Three The Walden Family featuring Ben Walden harmonica phenom. Ben opened for the Delbert McClintock-Sandpoint Music Festival in 2004. Invited to perform Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival 2004.Won 2nd place at Prairie Home Companion contest for folks 12-20 in 2005.Opened for Johnny Gimble-Seattle Folk Life 2005. Esther and Josiah Willows will play solos and duets. First time appearance at FNF. Esther has been playing piano for six years. She has received numerous scholarships from Glacier Symphony and Chorale, NVMS and KAMTA for her diligence and ability. She placed fourth at the Montana State Music Festival in 2003. She loves to accompany her brother Josiah’s violin music. At Sassafrass at 7pm
 
Gene Gordner “The Singin’ Saddlemaker”one of the last of the singing cowboys. His rich baritone voice brings the wild west to life once again. Soulful rendition of classic western music in spirit of Gene Autry and the Sons of the Pioneers, will make you want to saddle up O’l Paint and ride the range into the sunset. Come stomp your feet and sing along with his rambunctious range ballads, cowboy humor, and “another true story of the range”. Western Outdoor 6pm to 9pm
 
Flathead High School Guitar Students will present a program of instrumental and vocal music including original compositions and popular selections. Students from the 10th, 11th and 12th grade will perform, styles range from folk to classical and rock.
