Thumbs down to Earth Day. As a newspaper and therefore a huge generator of waste paper, The Arrow is tired of feeling guilty about polluting the planet. What do we care if the Earth is an unlivable pigsty in 50 years? Our advice: consume, consume, consume.

Thumbs down to Slobodan Milosevic for doing his best to plunge the Balkans into war. First, the perpetrator of the worst European atrocity since the Holocaust asked that the bombing stop in honor of Eastern Orthodox Easter. Then, last Friday, he claimed that the Serbian offensive in Kosovo had ended — while refugees continued to pour out of Kosovo.
