Exchange students try season on the mats
Two foreign exchange students, seniors Johan Wiberg of Sweden and Jose Bustamante of Ecuador, wanted to try a sport that they hadn’t experienced in their native lands. So they donned spandex and took up rolling around on a mat with a sweaty guy in front of a group of spectators — a.k.a. wrestling.

Kick boxing scores a quick knockout in Flathead Valley
Leather smacks into leather. Feet swing high to pound a punching bag. Sweat rolls off the brow.

These aren’t the sights of the training for “Mortal Kombat.” Instead they are what are found at the aerobic kick boxing class attended by more than a dozen FHS students at Big Sky Martial Arts.

Indoor soccer heats up Summit
Floor burns are replacing grass stains for some soccer players, who are involved in The Summit’s new Indoor Soccer League. Instead of waiting for the spring soccer season to come around, players head up to The Summit every Thursday night at 6:30 p.m.
