Central School building becomes part of history
What does $2.2 million look like and what does it mean to the people of Kalispell? Those who want to know need look no farther than the old Central School, where the new Heritage Museum will feature the history of western Montana with displays on Native Americans and the railroad, aluminum and agriculture industries.

Gov. Racicot learns to ‘walk the walk’ from math students
On Jan. 22, Karen Longhart’s math students got to show Gov. Marc Racicot they could not only talk math — they also could walk math. And they challenged the governor to do the same.

BPA earns regional honors
On Monday, Jan. 19, sophomore Kristina Rogers coordinated meetings, manipulated text and did it all in a timely fashion. Another day at the office? No. She was one of 70 students who competed in the regional Business Professionals of America competition in Kalispell.

JROTC warms up to Polar Bear III, thanks to mild temperatures
Ice-fishing, snowmobiling, land navigation and cross-country skiing were only a few of the activities JROTC cadets planned for their annual winter campout, Polar Bear III, on Jan. 23-25 at the Grizzly Boy Scout Camp. The weather, however, didn’t cooperate — it was too warm.
