Braves anxious for C.M.R rematch
...Henderson rolls right, avoids the rush, he has an open man in the end zone, it’s McGuire. Henderson stumbles, recovers, throws the ball to McGuire. The pass is caught! But the officials signal that McGuire landed out of bounds. The Braves still trail the Rustlers by a point...

James leads Bravettes both on the court and in spirit
She holds the school record for most points in a basketball game, with 36. She made First Team All-State basketball in 1996. This year she has led the Bravettes to a 5-3 start. Her play can be summed up in one word: tough. Who is this Cal Ripken of the court? The name’s James. Darcy James.

“She’s the toughest person I know,” said junior teammate Sahara Ondov. “She plays with all her heart.”

Soccer teams continue winning ways by defeating Big Sky
The crowd was tiny, but the games were huge. The Bravettes started a show of incredible soccer play last Saturday that continued into the Braves’ match. The quick feet and head work and even acrobatic throw-ins by senior Rob Stevens, kept the fans enthralled throughout their double header.

“We came out stronger than in past games,” said Stevens.

Flathead cross country in for a bright future with Vidal, Arvidson
Flathead cross country has a long tradition of greatness, formed through runners like ’97 graduates Shane Ackerly and Keegan Rumsey and ’96 graduate, Brad Treat. This tradition seems likely to continue for at least three more years at the hands of freshman David Vidal and sophomore Amber Arvidson.

Vidal has finished just behind current Flathead leader sophomore Kevin Clary to take second in all but one of the races this year.  His impressive times in those races challenge the current freshman record of 15:52, held by Treat — Vidal’s teacher.
