Having never traveled out of the U.S., math teacher Larry Kaber found a fantastic opportunity before him. After a few quick keystrokes, he found himself on his way halfway around the world to Hong Kong. 

Buying computers on a budget

As this year’s seniors gain more independence, they may want to own their own personal computer. The utility provided by a personal computer is almost a necessity in today’s technology-driven world, although getting more speed can become an obsession for the power user. The buyer must beware, however, because not all systems are created equal. It generally isn’t very wise to run to the first appliance store advertising a computer for $799.99 on closeout. The following are some tips for any novice out shopping for a computer.

At 9 a.m. on Tuesday, a group of 37 people including poetry teacher Nancy Rose, English teacher Jo Shay, substitute David Fischoliwitz and retired English teacher Gary Burt loaded luggage into a bus on their way to Grave Creek.

Camping, picnics and family trips are usual over Memorial Day weekend. However JROTC cadets decided to share the true meaning of Memorial Day with the student body at an assembly May 22.
