Herzog sizzles: Braves win 41-16

The Flathead Braves continued their home dominance in 1996 with a win over the Great Falls High Bison, 41-16 at Rawson Field on Friday. Senior runningback Josh Herzog ran all over the Bison defense. Early in the first quarter, quarterback Bill Henderson hooked up with Herzog for a 40-yard touchdown pass. In the third quarter, Herzog ran for a 76-yard touchdown and caught a 34-yard pass to put the Braves up 34-10. Late in the fourth, Herzog returned a punt 50 yards for his fourth touchdown of the game Along with the touchdowns, Herzog kicked all extra-points scoring 32 points. The Braves are now 5-1 for the season and 4-1 in conference play. Friday, the Braves go on the road to play C.M.R. in what could be a preview of the post season.
