The media informs, but doesn't brainwash
So you think the media ran the election, not the voter? Think again. News organizations aren't quite as biased as Newt and Bob (Dole, in case you've forgotten already) would have you think.
Saliva should stay where it belongs: in the mouth
As I race to school in the morning, undoubtedly late and forced to park approximately 2.3 miles away, I glance down at something passing beneath my feet. A small spot in my path has caught my attention. I keep running, but once again, I have to dodge another accumulation. And another. And when I pass the auto mechanics building, there are numerous collections. I shudder and continue. The best way to avoid these gifts is to watch your step. They are spit.
Disrespect at sporting events can't continue
I did not attend the girls' basketball game against Sentinel on Oct. 31, and from what I have heard about it, I think it may be a good thing I didn't. Otherwise, I may have been appalled or even offended by the behavior of the Flathead student section, as were many other Bravette spectators. I've been told that our section of the crowd was rude, disrespectful and even downright mean to the Missoulians and towards the referees. These sorts of displays cannot continue.
Bite the bullet, accept gun control
Hunting season has begun; a time when Montanans feel they can grunt, spit and savor their ability to hunt wildlife. Hunt- ers fear gun control because they think it would lead eventually to the government taking away their rifles. On the other hand, fear leaving guns in a society where a 14-year-old can go down to his local discount store and buy a gun along with his other groceries.
