Now, former FHS students may not have to wait for 10-, 20- or 30-year reunions to find out about their classmates. Thanks to an alumni registration recently added to The Arrow Online home page, Flathead alumni can have a class reunion of sorts every day.
Since it began in September 1995, The Arrow Online has received hundreds of e-mail letters, many from graduates who want to ask about other graduates. Enter, the alumni registry.
"It's just a place where former students can just say 'hi,' and tell us what they're doing and where they are," said publications adviser Dave Stone. "Part of the page will also be a directory of students by year."
Arrow Webmaster senior Chad Peterson set up the registration page.
"I think the idea is working because there are so many of these people (former students) that read the paper," said Peterson.
The alumni registration includes basic questions about the respondent's name, graduation year, occupation, and place of residence.
"Through reunions, the last being our 25th, I've kept in touch with those friends I've wanted to," said Don Claridge of Spokane, a 1968 graduate, in an electronic interview with The Arrow. "The directory would be a good place to find out about friends that were in other classes, though."
