Serendipity Street
provides unexpected nightlife Where
can Flathead students listen to live music, dance, loiter, and drink smoothies without
being hassled? The newest, coolest place to do just that is Serendipity Street on Main Street, which provides a fun, safe, late night alternative for students. "It gives us kids something more productive to do then drive around and get in trouble," says junior Kyle Schmechel. Because Serendipity Street is a café and coffee shop, you can always grab a tall double mocha and sit down on a big, cushy couch. Or you can borrow one of Serendipitys many board games and play a rousing round of Mad Gab with your friends. If live music is your thing, you can go downstairs and dance the night away. "Its good late-night fun if you like to get down to live music," Says junior Jesse Johnson. Serendipity hosts a variety of live music nearly every weekend from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. Royal Rangers, Nostalgia, and Scarlet Rose are a few of the bands that have played on Serendipitys stage. "Theres some jamming live music," says junior Jake Sakaske, "but it gets a little humid in there." Music isnt the only thing that Serendipity offers. They also have a variety of fruity beverages, deli sandwiches, and icy cold treats. "I go for the music, but I stay for the fruit smoothies," says junior Joel Chipman. "It beats running two miles." |
