I am writing in response to your article about cleanliness in America. All I have to say is that CJ Cummings is one incredible writer, we should all get down on our knees right now and thank the good Lord above that a man capable of such flowing rhetoric and journalistic integrity has finally graced the halls of Flathead High. Oh yes, we shall rejoice and sing praises and write sonnets. The name "CJ Cummings" is one that will be remembered in infamy, he is a writer unlike any the Flathead Valley has ever set eyes upon. Any man who can compose such smoldering mounds of intellectualism should be immediately appointed dictator for life. Forefathers be damned. This guy is talented, and I mean GIFTED with a capital GIF, he should immediately be promoted to an editing position and get a pay raise, I could write the administration about this if you feel its appropriate for me to do so. I feel privileged that a student with such spelling abilities, wit, charm, and good family roots has decided to make The Arrow his home away from home, where he will eat, sleep, drink coffee, vandalize tables and eventually get around to sculpting sentences into masterpieces mere moments before the ever looming deadline. Yes, that CJ Cummings is the embodiment of journalistic ideals, an achievement in humanity, a true newsman of the 21st century, and if I do say so myself, a swell guy. Alissa K. Herbaly I happened to spot of copy of your paper here in Missoula this afternoon and felt compelled to commend the fine journalistic efforts of CJ Cummings. His wit and work on the hand washing article and dedication to statistical accuracy make me proud to be a journalist. We need more writers committed to factual integrity and astute analysis, even if it means counting guys in the washroom. Its a tremendous encouragement to see such qualities evidenced by a first year reporter, and I must say to CJ, well done. You will go far. If you dedicate yourself to refining your skills now, the opportunities available to you in the future will be global in dimension (you could be a foreign correspondent by Christmas time). I look forward to reading more of your writing in the future and following your creative development. Emily Cummings
Flathead High School, home of the Braves, but is it big enough to hold all the students? Thats the reason the Flathead Valley is considering building a new high school. Do we really need one? Personally, I think that we should have a new high school because it gets too crowded in the classroom. Its to the point that were having to split the classes in half just to be able to fit them in a room, and we dont have enough books because there are too many students. There could be a lot more options if we had another school. Although students would be split up, because not everybody would be in the same school. We would still have that feeling of home spirit. At least we wouldnt be crowded and have to worry about whether we will be able to get to class on time, or if we will will even have a seat when we get there. So, a new high school would be the best thing for the Flathead Valley and its students future. Sophomore Bryan Goodloe
