The cancer contest: How FHS students
assess their spring vacations
Spring break takes students all over the world-Mexico, Hawaii, the Caribbean-looking for someplace exotic and warm to lounge around for a week. And when they return, these solar sojourners congregate around the water cooler and swap stories and argue over who has the better tan.

Letters to the editor

I begin by stating that I resent the implication that I am "known to break open candy machines" and "prone to shoplifting … to avoid being ripped off by corporate giants." To stereotype an enormous group such as the Napster-using community is unfounded and blatantly inflammatory.


Opponents of the SAT fail the test of logic

Every year, thousands of high school students must take part in a harrowing, yet necessary process. Forced to wake up early on a perfectly good Saturday morning, they spend four hours of their life in a quiet room with nothing but a pencil and, occasionally, a calculator to keep them company.
