Flathead student braves life-threatening illness
Most people feel defeated when they hear 'cancer'," said chemistry teacher Todd Morstein, a cancer survivor. But not senior John Michael Myers. Myers recently found out that he has Hodgkin's disease, or cancer of the lymph system.

'Close Up' gives students an inside view of Washington, D.C.
Last week, 15 FHS students took a six-day trip to Washington, D.C. They visited different places while having fun and learning how our government works. In the seminars they attended, the students learned about different issues, such as international relations, media and the judicial system.

I left my house early to get to the airport. As I wait in my cramped airplane seat, I ponder all the possibilities that this trip has to offer to me. Then my tray table hits me in the knees, and I stop thinking.
