Girls remain undefeated
in soph. basketball action To
be or not to be a champion, that is not the question for the Bravettes sophomore
basketball team. Theyve already provided proof that they are champions with a 10-0
record. The coach of the sophomore Bravettes is Fred Febach. This is his first year coaching the girls team. Febach gives his girls all the credit for their accomplishments because he doesnt believe that he does anything different than other coaches. "My girls are the ones that deserve the credit because they are focused and concentrate on the game. They also want to work and play well together as team," said Febach. The team consists of Jackie Byrnes, Brittney Roberts, Hannah Uhde, Valerie Tutvedt, Tiffani Wilson, Catie Holliday, Tess Saunier, Meghan Clary, Shawna Elliott, Becky Davey, and Joey Talaotu. Out of the 10 games that the sophomore Bravettes played they are undefeated. There are many opinions about why the team is doing so well this season. "We have played together for a long time because just about all the girls that played on the team last year as freshman made the team," said Clary. Although Febach thinks that girls should be given credit some of the girls think that if they didnt have Febach as a coach that they might not be undefeated. "I really like Mr. Febach he is an awesome coach because he always is pushing us to do our best. He is also always making sure that his players are doing good," said Uhde. Many of the girls think that they will beat CMR on Saturday but they also think that they will put up a good challenge. "Were hoping that it is going to be a good game and a challenge," said Roberts The next game will be October 14 at 4 p.m. The girls will play CMR in the FHS gym.
