"Harry Potter
is the richest, meanest man in town." Those of you who saw the
recent FHS drama production It's a Wonderful Life observed an image
of the rich that has become ingrained in American lore.
One
question asked often in the halls of FHS is, "What has student
council done for us?" Many don't know what to say, so they simply
agree with the questioner's complaint.
No,
I don't mean that women should be prohibited from dressing up as Santa
for their own children or relatives or for charity drives. I do mean,
however, that if a business refuses to hire a woman as their full-time
ceremonial St. Nick, she has no right to bring sexual discrimination
charges against them.
