Ask someone how long
he or she has been doing something and they might say, "Ever
since I was born." But when senior Jamie Polson makes that statement
about horseback riding, she means it.
On the day Jamie was
brought home from the hospital after she was born, her father took
her in his arms and rode off on a horse. She is now 17 and has been
riding ever since.
Running down a dimly
lit hall, you're armed with only a chainsaw and a few shots left in
your rocket launcher. You whip around to see nothing, and then fall
to the ground as you realize that you just got blasted from behind
by that chick with the steel tipped boots and camouflage fatigues.
First Night Flathead
festival, an alternative way to ring in the New Year, is presenting
an array of visual and performing arts activites in the downtown
Kalispell area December 31st.
It's 10 p.m. on a
Friday night in Kalispell. A lot of students are tired of making it
a Blockbuster night. After all, it can be hard to keep yourself entertained
in such a small town.
Most
children dream of becoming someone big - a movie star, an astronaut,
a ballerina. For one junior at Flathead High, her dreams came true
- and are still continuing.
After a long, stressful
week of school a small group of students get up an hour early on Friday
mornings to attend a worship service in the FHS auditorium.
