In the summer of 1996, I had the pleasure of meeting,
hands on, my first Kai Ken. What a thrill!!! I was asked
to show an arrogant young female named "Suki". Well
the first day at the UKC PREMIER, I worked with Suki
and asked her to let me get through this without to
much embarrassment. She laughed and played me like
a fine tuned fiddle! We did accomplish a Best Female
and 25 points. The next day I was to asked to show
Suki again, and of course I said YES! The chance to
get my hands on her again was just to good to pass up.
When Suki was brought to me, she ran up to me and
looked me in the eye and said, "Let's kick butt!"
Everything I taught her from the day before, that she
pretended not to understand, she remembered it all.
That day she beat the National Champion and took
Best of Breed! A big thank you to Mary Malone of
Minimeadow Kennel for turning me on to this ultimate
breed.

Since that day I now own Suki and 17 other Kai. Suki is
now an UKC Grand Champion and National Champion
and dam of the first all champion litter in the breed.
YEAH!!!

The Kai ken is very rare, extremely intelligent, regal,
and very devoted. They will hand you their heart and
soul and place it in your hands and give you that look
that tells you they totally trust you to never violate
that trust!

A Kai bonds to their human family and is pleased to
just be near them, asking nothing from you but trust
and kindness.

There are only approximately 400 Kai in the U.S. as of
2004. Classy Kennel is taking deposits for 2004/2005.
